A good advice for you

This recipe is amazingly nice and I love it very much. The crisp biscuit “gode råd” – good advice – originates from the southern part of Denmark where it is served for coffee. I don’t know why they call it what they do, but the name is as entertaining as the biscuits are beautiful to look at.

200 g flour
100 g sugar
100 g butter
2 eggs
1/2 tsp cardamom
1 vanilla pod
1 lemon, just the juice

Whisk sugar and butter together. Add eggs, vanilla seeds from the pod, cardamom and juice from the lemon. Stir in the flour a little at a time. Bake it on each side in an old-fashioned iron (gode råd-jern, we found ours at a flea market) until they have a nice light brown colour.
